5th Annual "Gift of Sight Classic" Golf Tournament.

Events

More events equals more fun. If you have an idea for a really great event, please give us a call.

The format will be a four person best ball scramble with a shotgun start at 1:00pm on August 22nd, 2009.

On course events include the following:

• Lowest Score
  • Enhance your team's score by purchasing "Mulligans" before play begins.
• Longest Drive
• Closest to the pin
• Straightest drive (closest to a line down the center of the fairway.)
• Longest putt
• Most Balls Lost for a foursome

• Highest Score
• Longest drive with a blindfold on. Get a taste of what it would be like to have a sight impairment.
• Mystery hole. Tee off, draw a token with the challenge on it, (farthest drive to the left, shortest drive, highest drive, best water ball or others) and one person in every foursome will win a nice prize.

Other events are under consideration and will be setup by the time of the tournament.

Additional contests will take place on the course including"

Leader Dog Putting Contest.

For $10 you will receive 4 balls, 1 for practice and 3 for competition.

Balls will be handed to a "Sight Impaired" golfer from Leader Dogs For The Blind.

Using only your verbal skills, you will direct your golfer as to how hard to hit as well as direction of the ball.

Closest to the pin will win 4 days and 3 nights Deluxe lodging at the beautiful

CocoLaPalm Seaside Resort in Negril, Jamaica.

In the case of a tie, the next closest ball will determine the winner.

Closest to the Pin on hole number three.

Golfer will be offered the chance to double their money (up to $10) if they can place their drive within a large circle on the green. A ball that overlaps the line in any way after stopping is a winner. Only one drive per golfer. No practice hits will be allowed.

In addition we will have a Chicken and Ribs BBQ with all of the fixings, awards ceremony, and enough prizes that no one will go home empty handed.

We are looking for a major sponsor as well as hole sponsors. Sponsorships available include;

• Gold Sponsor                  Donation of $2500 or more
• Silver Sponsor                Donation of $1000 or more
• Hole Sponsor                  Donation of $250 or more

Tournament, Platinum, Gold, and Silver sponsors will have signage at every tee. Hole sponsors will be added to the signs on the hole that they are sponsoring.  Hole sponsors are invited to participate in special event holes with prizes, demonstrations, literature, etc. but the participation must be somewhat golf related. We can help you plan your event. All events must be pre-approved.
