The Maple Grove Lions,  by holding events such as the Lions Pancake Breakfast in April, The Lions Corn Roast in July, The Lions Craft Sale in November, and Breakfast with Santa in December, along with other fundraising activities, raised over $14,000 for this event. Along with a generous donation from the Maple Grove Firefighters Relief Association, almost $22,000 was spent in 2010 with 100% going to the recipients in the form of food baskets.

The video above is a time lapse video of the 3 hour process of unloading, assembling and distributing baskets to 144 families in the Maple Grove area. Baskets are picked up and distributed to previously identified families in need by volunteers from local churches.

A special Thank You to Rainbow Foods of Maple Grove  for their continued help in purchasing the food for this project and for helping us to stretch our dollars with a generous discount.  

Also a big thank you to Malark Logistics of Brooklyn Park, MN for the donation of a truck and trailer as well as a driver to transport the food.
