This page is an effort to recap and relive recent memorable (and some not so memorable) events with the Maple Grove Lions. There are a lot of pictures here and they may take a couple of minutes to down load. Be patient, they are worth the wait.
Watch for pictures of our most recent events.

1st Annual
"Gift Of Sight Classic"
Golf Tournament
Friday, August 25th
2006, we held the first annual
Gift Of Sight Classic Golf Tournament.
The event was
held at Pheasant Acres, just north of Corcoran and South of Rogers on County
Road 116.
As a
result we will be splitting over $8500 between our three sight
related charities.
The Minnesota Lions Eye Bank
International Lions Sight First Program
Leader Dogs For The Blind
A big
thank you to all of our sponsors, golfers, and prize
contributors, along with the organizational committee.
We have continued holding the Gift Of Sight Classic for the last 4 years
and look forward to seeing everyone on the course in 2010.
Maple Grove Days Corn Feed
was held again this year and we served 500
dozen ears of corn along with many pounds of hamburger, hot
dogs, bratwurst, and chicken. This was the largest event of the
year for the lions and we had a great turnout.
The 25th Annual Maple Grove Lions Pancake Breakfast and Dande-Lions
Bake Sale was held in April of
2006.
Breakfast With Santa December 3rd, 2005.
22nd
Annual Holiday Food Basket Assembly and Distribution.
A collaboration
between the Maple Grove Lions and the Maple Grove Firefighters
Relief Association. December, 2006. This is a continuing
event and we will be doing it again this December.
We
rang bells
for The Salvation Army again this year on 12/1 0/2005
at the Maple Grove Wal-Mart and also at Sam's Club.
August
28, 2001, saw the Groundbreaking for the new Maple Grove Lions Picnic
Pavilion. The project is complete. Come check it out.
The Maple Grove Lions and the Maple Grove Dande-Lions joined forces and resources to purchase and present 3 infrared scopes to the Maple Grove Fire Department. These scopes are able to detect the bodyheat of a person trapped or incapacitated in a smoke filled building to allow for their rescue. This addition to the firefighters resources may help to save a life.
